Spanning 22 acres, Waldorf Astoria Jaipur will stand off the Delhi-Jaipur highway overlooking the Aravalli hills. The space will feature 51 pool villas and 174 guest rooms. For celebrations, there will be about 25,800sqft of meeting spaces and some 32,300sqft of open lawns and courtyards to choose from. The property will join Hilton’s existing portfolio of 24 hotels and resorts across India, with 13 others in the works.

Waldorf Astoria is known for its service and introducing many firsts to hospitality. At the turn of the 20th century, the New York icon attracted the best of American high society. From 24×7 room service to restaurant reservations, some of the tiniest details we take for granted today were introduced by Waldorf Astoria. Waldorf Astoria was also one of the first hotels to have ensuite bathrooms and electricity with longest name on every floor of a hotel–amenities that were considered revolutionary back then. And it was here that red velvet ropes were used first to manage crowds outside a restaurant. Even the Waldorf salad, today a staple at many American establishments, was created for Waldorf Astoria New York’s debut event.
