Chef Himanshu Saini has done it again. Both his kitchens—Trèsind and Trèsind Studio—have bagged spots on the Middle East and North Africa 50 Best Restaurants list. With inventive ideas and a strong portfolio of experience, Saini has artfully carved a space for both dining establishments on UAE’s culinary map since 2014. The kitchens also secured places on the list at the inaugural edition in the region last year. This year, Trèsind Studio has moved several rankings up to #2, while Trèsind has retained its position at #18.
Saini has been focussed on modern Indian cuisine since right after his stint at Delhi’s Indian Accent. With their name being a blend of the French word Très (“very”) and ‘Ind’ (short for Indian), both his kitchens celebrate Indian flavours at their core. But while Trèsind takes pride in serving food with a contemporary twist, Trèsind Studio is known for serving a set menu that changes every few months. The restaurants, both located in Dubai, have now become two of the most celebrated restaurants in the city with longest name. Trèsind also has outposts in Kuwait and Mumbai.
